East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans
2009 Record: 7-2 Head Coach: Kevin DeParde
2010 Outlook
Winning has become a common occurance at ESM the past few season. If the Spartans can overcome some in-experience they have the talent back to again return to the post season. Coach Kevin DeParde and his staff Mike Eschbacher, Daryl Pynn, Jim Smith, and Bob Campese believe they could have the talent to retun to the post season. Returning this season are Jr. QB/LB Tyler Johnson 6-0 165, Jr. WR/DB Bobby Campese 6-0 155, Jr. OL/DL Bobby Ali 6-1 230, Sr. OL/DL Andrew Crandall 6-1 215, and Sr. OL/LB Matt Vasiloff OL/LB 5-9 205. Jamesville-Dewitt Red Rams
2009 Record:3-5 Head Coach: Eric Ormond
2010 Outlook
Second year coach Eric Ormand and his staff Kevin Kalfass, Joe Coridori, Mike O'Brian, Jim Tuck, Jeff Ike and Rick Tousaw are looking to turn it around after a tough 3-5 season in 2009. The Rams return the follwing starters that will help in the process to include LB Dave Urciuoli, DB Alex Hatem, DB Tim Bright, OL Matt Muller, QB Joe Emmi, QB Davi Sacco, and RB Ahkeen Williams. Coach Ormand wrote " Our success this year will be determined by how physical a football team we can become, how disciplined we can be, and how well this team can gel together. Our depth along the offensive line will be problematic if we incur any significant injuries. Our inexperience on defense as well." If the Rams younger players step up quickly look for JD to return to the playoffs. Class A American is a tough league and this will be a difficult challange for the Rams.
Mexico Tigers
2009 Record: 1-7 Head Coach: Tee Murabito
2010 Outlook
After a rough 2009 season the Mexico Tigers are looking to get back into the swing of things in 2010. Coach Tee Murabito and his staff John Hansen and Brian Horning believe they have a “Young enthusiastic group of players.” They are led this season by Sr. OL/DL Tommy Williams 5-9, 220, Sr. OL/DL Troy Benjamin 6-1, 190, Sr. TE/DE Bruno Slivinski 6-1 205, Sr. RB/DB Brandon Burnham 5-11, 160, Sr. QB/LB Bryce Nixon 5-10, 165, Sr. OL/DL Erik Keys 6-2, 235, and Sr. RB/LB Austin LaBouef 5-9 170.Coach Murabito believes “Our young guys have to help us out in many areas by competing for starting positions. Our senior group has to provide outstanding leadership and work ethic.” The Tigers know playing in class A is tough and this season “Being able to execute at this level with many inexperienced players against a very talented Class A Division” may be the Tigers biggest challenge.

Carthage Comets
2009 Record: 3-5 Head Coach: Sam Millich
2010 Outlook
The Carthatge Comets know that have lots of challanges playing in the Class A National division however, Coach Millich and his staff of Jason Coffman, Kirk Ventiguatto, and Josh Hickey believe they may have the returning players to be solid contenders this season. Camden Blue Devils
2009 Record:2-6 Head Coach: Aaron Fiorini
2010 Outlook
After a great 2008 season that saw the Blue Devils go to the Sectional final, coach Aaron Fiorini and his assistants Chris Jones, Jake Bates, and Bruce Melon had a tough campaign in 2009. Injuries and some of the toughest opponents in the state took their toll on a young Blue Devil squad. However, Coach Fiorini may see a silver lining out of last season’s struggles. They will miss standout players like Holden Coon, Alex VanPelt, and Jordan Blowers. However, some key players return to lead the Blue Devils. They are Sr. RB/LB Kevin Davis 5-10 185, Sr. RB/LB Jack Keil, Sr. QB/WR Joe O’Rourke 5-10 175, Sr. LB Ryan Phelps 5-7 165 and Sr. DB/WR Gage Baker 5-10 165. To be successful this season coach Fiorini believes the key is “Having young players step up into starting positions. We will go as far as our young kids will take us.” As well as the loss of key player’s coach Fiorini believes their biggest challenge this season is “Facing four great teams right off the bat Carthage, NH, Whitesboro and Indian River. No time for our young kids to have a learning curve.” If the Blue Devils can come away with some big wins those first four games look for them in the post season.
Indian River Warriors
2009 Record:5-3 Head Coach: Cory Marsell
2010 Outlook
Coming soon.
New Hartford Spartans
2009 Record: 9-1 Head Coach: Robert Jones
2010
The New Hartford Spartans will face some big changes this season. Gone are standouts like Joey Carcone and Anthony Acevedo who have been team leaders the last two seasons. Coach Bob Jones knows you don’t replace players like that but the Spartans will do their best this season to drive on without them. QB Vinny Servadio will lead the team from the QB position with some help from running backs like Mike Szczesniak. The offensive line led by Bryan Hoffman will look to keep defenders off the back of Servadio so he can make some big plays. On defense the Spartans are strongest at the linebacker position led by Tyler Kallasy and Jeff Cesare. With a good coaching staff, and belief in their system, look for the Spartans to again be in position to make a run at the post season this year.

Watertown Cyclones
2009 Record: 3-5 Head Coach: Vince Williams
2010 Outlook
After a tough second year for head Coach Vince Williams and his staff of Mike Burgess, Drew Burgess, Chris Adams and Josh Smith, the Cyclones look to improve and make the playoffs. They must replace some standouts like Demarr Poindexter, Cory Einbeck, Carlton Pack, Mike Hibbard, Josh Robinson, Tom Capone, Sean Scordo, Julius Rease, Forrester Wight, Anthony Johnson, and Adam McNulty. On offence the Cyclones return Sr. QB Tyler Augliano 6’2 175, Sr. RB/DB Tevion Cappe 5’10 195, Sr. OL/DL Brock Williams 5’10 238, Sr. OL/DL Matt Netto 6’1 248, and SR. WR/DB Caleb Bettis 5’9 155. On defense, look for Mike Leone, Jason Vivyan to be team leaders. Newcomers will be very import this season for Watertown. Some to watch out for include Jr. Jon Kunz OL/DL 6’2 300, Jr. WR/DB Mike Leone 5’8 160, Jr. OL/DL Andrew Russell 6’3 240, Jr. WR/DB Dustin Pond 6’7 230, Sr. WR/DB Tyler Paul 5’9 180, Soph. RB/LB Devin Kincaid 5’8 160, Soph. RB/LB Diamond Williams 5’10 200, and Jr. WR/DB Lucas VanCoppenelle 6’0 175. Coach Williams thinks that if the Cyclones stay healthy and improve their line play they will improve this season. His team’s biggest challenge is to stay healthy in a very tough division. Best of luck this season to the Cyclones.
Whitesboro Warriors
2009 Record: 10-2 Head Coach: Tom Schoen
2010 Outlook
The Whitesboro Warriors tend to reload rather than rebuild. Head Football Coach Tom Schoen might have the returning talent this season to be a solid sectional and state contender. Quarterback Brady Holstag leads a stable of other QB’s that may see playing time this season like Adam Eberley, Chad Martin and Mike Bunal. Also in the backfield are running backs Mike Sullivan, Steve Almond, Connor Passalaqua, and Matt Fellito. On defense look for the usual swarm of Warrior defenders as younger players will easily fit into their system. This could be another excellent year for Whitesboro.
